Terms & Conditions

All Terms and Conditions contained herein apply equally to all members and Pay As You Go clients alike.  These Terms and Conditions may change as we continue to evolve our service or external factors require us to do so.  In the event that we must change or revise our current Terms and Conditions policy, we will post said changes here on the Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh website and app, with changes taking immediate effect upon.  Your continued use of the website, app, and the facility will constitute your acceptance of our current or revised Terms and Conditions, so we would encourage you the member to review these Terms and Conditions periodically.    
 

Membership

​

Members and clients are bound, as per conditions of membership to comply with the rules set out below.

​

  • All memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable, except for exceptional circumstances. In exceptional cases the member must email leisurecomplex@mayococo.ie, stating their reason for requesting a refund and this must be supported by reasonable evidence. Management will make the final decision on the request.

  • The management reserve the right to refuse membership to any individual without cause. 

  • Termination of memberships: Management at Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh reserve the right to terminate a membership when the following occur:

    • Failed payments of membership or fees.

    • Monthly Direct Debit payments are interrupted or discontinued for any reason.

    • Disregard towards our membership agreement or Terms and Conditions policy.

    • Improper conduct or aggressive behaviour is shown towards a fellow member, staff or management of the Movement Gyms.

    • Failure to provide medical approval for exercising if requested.

Termination of membership will be effective immediately from the day of notice. The Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh also reserves the right to terminate a membership for any reason not stated above and if not prohibited by law.  

 

  • All members must be over the age of 16 to use the gym or studios. Proof of age will be requested when you sign up.

  • A valid photo ID is needed before a membership card can be given out.

In addition to this, if a member wishes to sign up for a 3rd level student membership they must produce a valid student ID card and must be a full-time student, if a member is signing up for a jobseekers membership a jobseekers form must be filled out and signed and if a member signs up for a 2nd level student membership a 2nd level form must be filled out and signed. These forms are available at reception.

  • Memberships can be frozen once per year for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 90 days. If you wish to freeze your membership you must fill in a Membership Hold Form through the website.  This can be found by clicking on the Membership Hold tab at the top of this page.  All freeze requests must be supported by reasonable evidence and approved by management. Upon expiration of the “paused” period, your membership will be automatically restarted. If you book into the facility during the freeze your membership will automatically be restarted.

  • All members are required to pre-book sessions and arrive at the facility no more than 5 minutes prior to the start time of their session. All members must scan in using their membership card. Failure to do so will result in attendance not recorded and a strike being issued. Strikes will also be issued if a member fails to attend their session or cancels within 1 hour of a session. If a member receives 3 strikes their account will be blocked from making future bookings. This can be undone if the member contacts the facility.

  • Failure to pay direct debit fees will result in your membership being stopped or cancelled.

  • Anyone wishing to cancel a direct debit must email leisurecomplex@mayococo.ie to inform that they are looking to cancel their membership 30 days before their next billing date. A cancellation fee will apply to anyone cancelling within the first 6 months of their agreement start date.

  • The First Month Membership is only available to new members and may only be purchased on one occasion. 

  • Pay as you go clients are welcome to attend sessions provided they have made a booking.  Sessions can be booked through the app, website, or contacting the facility.  All pay as you go sessions must be pre-booked and paid for in full, prior to the session.

  • A photograph will be required upon joining for identification purposes.

  • Couple membership – This is a joint membership and therefore it cannot be frozen separately.

  • Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult when entering the pool.

  • The child entry policy for the Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh is taken from the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management (ISRM) is as follows:

  • One adult can bring a maximum of:

  • 3 children aged 10 years and under.

  • If there are any extra children an additional adult is required.

  • All queries regarding memberships will be addressed through the website or by email, leisurecomplex@mayococo.ie.

Accessibility Membership

​

Visitors with additional needs may admit one accompanying carer free of charge when they purchase an accessibility membership/day pass.  Accessibility memberships/day passes can be purchased at reception.  Please ensure you have your Carer ID and relevant documentation* to hand.

 

*Relevant ID and documentation can be an IAA Autism ID card, or an associated membership card, GP letter or hospital consultant letter which confirms the visitor is unable to visit the Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh independently without the aid of a carer or mobility aid.

Swimming Lessons


•    Swimming lessons must be paid in full at time of booking.
•    Please inform us if your child has a medical condition (diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, anaphylaxis etc.)  In certain instances, we will require a letter from your child’s G.P stating that they are medically fit to swim.
•    All bookings and payments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee your choice of day and time.  We will do our best to accommodate your child/children but this may involve children being moved to an alternative day and time.


Refunds & Cancellations


•    Any cancellations made within 14 days of the start date of the swim course will not be entitled to a refund unless an alternative customer from the waiting list can be found to fill your space.
•    Due to the limited numbers on swim course places and the high demand refunds, reschedules or credits for swim lessons that are not attended will not be granted under any circumstances.  We do not provide refunds or credits for absence(s) from booked lessons due to illness, regardless of the number of lessons missed.  However, if your child suffers a serious illness, which affects him or her for more than 4 (four) weeks (such as broken bones or any condition that requires hospitalisation and / or medical attention) then we may, at our discretion, offer you credit note if you inform us no less than 48 hours before the first lesson to be missed. In such instances you will be asked to provide a medical certificate.

•    Lesson cancellations liable for a refund are subject to a €30 administration fee.
•    In such circumstances a request can be made to centre management by emailing leisurecomplex@mayococo.ie. Centre management’s decision is final.

 

  •  

Facility

​

  • As a client of The Lough Lannagh Leisure Complex, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions regarding the use of the facility, opening hours and your conduct.

  • Members must scan their membership card prior to their session otherwise attendance will not be recorded.

  • As a member, you agree to respect the facility, equipment, and surrounding property.  Any damages caused as a result of negligence or reckless act will be paid in full by the perpetrator(s).

  • The Lough Lannagh Leisure Complex is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of property.

  • Any member wishing to report on accidents, incidents, or problems with services provided at the facilities should approach a staff member or email leisurecomplex@mayococo.ie.

  • In the event of a breach of membership and facility rules and regulations, the management of Lough Lannagh Leisure Complex reserves the right of admissions and may reserve the right to require any member or client to leave the premises. Any member found in breach of any rules or illegal activities will be asked to permanently leave the facility. 

  • In order to gain entry, you must have your membership card, if you have lost your membership card you can request a new one from reception at an additional cost.

  • Lost or stolen vouchers (including multi visit, single admission and family passes) cannot be replaced and we accept no liability for lost, stolen or damaged vouchers.

 

Health & Safety

​

  • Throughout the course of a membership with Leisure Complex at Lough Lannagh, regular health and medical screening is recommended from one’s local General Practitioner.

  • All members must wear appropriate, clean attire and footwear when using the facilities.  In the interest of hygiene, it is recommended that members bring a hand towel to wipe down all equipment after use.

  • During a session, should a member feel faint, dizzy, unwell or have unusual pain they should stop exercising immediately and inform a member of staff.

  • Members exercise at their own discretion and accept any injury or illness brought on by exercise is your responsibility.  A member may, at their own discretion and expense, obtain personal insurance for loss, injury, or damage sustained as a result of using the facilities. 

  • It is mandatory that all members complete a disclaimer and limitation of liability form should they wish to use the facilities.  This form will be provided upon entrance to the facility by a staff member. 

 

Additional Terms and Conditions resulting from COVID-19

​

  • In the case of enforced closure due to Government guidelines and COVID-19 restrictions, all memberships will be paused from the date of closure and will be automatically activated from the date of re-opening.  No Refunds will be issued.

 

FAQs

​

Opening Hours
We are open 6:30am-10pm Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm Saturday and 9am-5pm Sunday.

Minimum ages
The minimum age for people to use the gym/studio area is 16. The minimum age for children to be allowed entry to the pool unaccompanied is 10.

Missed Booking
If you miss a booking or cancel within 1 hour you will receive a booking strike on your account. If you receive 3 strikes you will be unable to book into the facility and you will have to contact reception to have them removed, to allow you to start booking in again.
